I titaly agree with you Pumpkin. Tooth paste and tooth brushes make for a very LAME "Trick or Treat." But if you read my original post, I think the items I mentioned can at least match it in the lame department.
I thought that apple with a bite taken out of it was a rather disgusting way that some one had of disapproving of "Trick or Treat."

I always hated when I got those disgusting taffey things that were wrapped in the orange or black wax paper. Those were probably right at the top of the list of candy that sucks in my opinion. There was also another candy, I don't quite remember what it was called, but it was like this weird crunchy peanut butter thing that came in, I think, a clear wrapper with brown stripes on it....Wait... here it is:

I know exactly what you are talking about Pumpkin56, and back in 'the day,' I litteraly couldn't give that peanut butter taffy to my dog. That's no exageration. I would give my dog a piece of that garbage candy and he would actualy spit it out, and one time he even growled at me for offering him another piece.
Candy not even a dog can love. I agree. Give out treats that you, yourself would like to eat, or don't bother giving anything out at all.

It may be funny, but that actualy happened. There were only 2 times that dog refused food. That aweful peanut butter toffy, and my late brother's spagheti. He tried it once, but he loaded it what tobasco sauce, and it burned like the fires hf 'U-Know-Where' and the dog took one bite, spat it out, growled at his supper dish and walked away peeved.

Oh man, you know what else I hated? Candy corn and their little pumpkin equivalents, caramel squares, and peppermints!
When my siblings and I were younger, my dad always had to "inspect" our candy for suspicious items and he always said that the Snickers looked "like they might be bad" so we always got robbed by that oinker

I think your dad had a hankering for Snickers Bars. As for Candy Corn, I actualy LOVE it, but I don't care for the pumpkin equivalants, because they don't taste the same to me for some reason. Karmel is my very close to being my absolute favorite candy, and I also like Pepermint, but I don't associate Pepermint with Halloween. My main indulgence in Pepermint is usualy during the Christmas season.

I agree, I love peppermint, but for Christmas, not Halloween. And caramel is superb with apples. Not a candy corn fan myself, but my husband likes it, and it is iconic.

Oh I hate that stuff too! But to be honest, I don't really think that appeared in my trick or treat bag very often. I definitely don't buy it to pass out to TOTers.
