I include that because I don't want THIS TO HAPPEN:
Wikipedia:
Plagiarism, as defined in the 1995 Random House Compact Unabridged Dictionary, is the "use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work."[1] Within academia, plagiarism by students, professors, or researchers is considered academic dishonesty or academic fraud, and offenders are subject to academic censure, up to and including expulsion. In journalism, plagiarism is considered a breach of journalistic ethics, and reporters caught plagiarizing typically face disciplinary measures ranging from suspension to termination of employment. Some individuals caught plagiarizing in academic or journalistic contexts claim that they plagiarized unintentionally, by failing to include quotations or give the appropriate citation. While plagiarism in scholarship and journalism has a centuries-old history, the development of the Internet, where articles appear as electronic text, has made the physical act of copying the work of others much easier. ...On the other hand, plagiarism is concerned with the unearned increment to the plagiarizing author's reputation that is achieved through false claims of authorship."

Midnight Witch-
You DO NOT need to include copyright limitations on each and every one of your posts. The only time you really need to include a preference of copyright is when you need to protect one of the following:
The U.S. Copyright law places copyrightable works in the following categories:

* Literary works
* Musical works, including any accompanying words
* Dramatic works, including any accompanying music
* Pantomimes and choreographic works
* Pictorial, graphic, and sculptural works
* Motion pictures and other audiovisual works
* Sound recordings
* Architectural works

Furthermore:
Copyright protection does not extend to the following categories of works; therefore permission is not required for you to use the following:

* Works for which the copyright has expired.
* Works federal government employees produced within the scope of their employment.
* Works clearly and explicitly donated to the public domain.
* Works that have not been fixed in a tangible form of expression (for example, choreographic works that have not been notated or recorded, or spontaneous speeches or performances that have not been written or recorded).
* Titles, names, short phrases, and slogans; familiar symbols or designs; mere variations of typographic ornamentation, lettering, or coloring; mere listings of ingredients or contents.
* Ideas, procedures, methods, systems, processes, concepts, principles, discoveries, or devices, as distinguished from a description, explanation, or illustration.
* Works consisting entirely of information that is common property and contains no original authorship (for example, standard calendars, height and weight charts, tape measures and rulers, and lists or tables taken from public documents or other common sources).
I suggest you read up on copyright:
http://www.lib.byu.edu/departs/copyrigh ... /page1.htm

I prefer to use a creative-commons license when I post copyrighted material (photos, drawings, etc.) because I'm into sharing... with well-defined terms of use.

Also, lighten up. A lot of the members on this forum like to tease. If you don't like it-- ignore them. I believe there is a feature in your user control panel called "Friends and Foes"... and by adding people to the "foes" list, it automatically censors their posts so you don't even have to read them!

Thanks.

You can copyright a pantomime?

All these years my Marcel Marceau impersonation could have landed me in the slammer! :shock:
