I believe the next occurrence of the 13th of Oct falling on a Friday is in 2021 or 2022, but I don't remember which. The last time it happened I was in the throws of fighting it out with my home owners insurance company, but I did manage to screen a few horror movies.

But it's always Halloween when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday. There are innumerable legends, stories, tv shows, movies and the like regarding Friday the 13th. Even when it's December 13th, if it falls on a Friday, which it is this year, even Christmas elves can turn into mean spirited little gremlins, and toys can be possessed by a devil. Friday the 13th is a great day to take a haunted road trip, go to a haunted place or just sit back and watch a horror movie.

That's great to hear and nice of you to say, Murf. For it started way back when I was a young pup as a way to pull me out of the winter doldrums. I liked it, so I started doing it every time the 13th of the month falls on a Friday.

Speaking of 'little Halloween, that's coming up next month. Friday September 14th, I will be screening the original "Trick or Treat, and perhaps some legacy movies and last but by no means least, I am going to burn some burgers out on the grill. I might even whip up a batch of brownies just for fun, but 'Little Halloween" is less then a month away. So mark your calendar, enter it into your cellphone database, or write yourself an old fashioned post-it. Friday September 13th is "Little Halloween." Be there or be square!

I'd noticed that, Mike!
My daughter has been working with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival this summer, and they are into their performance schedule now. It is outdoors. She will be on stage that night. No telling where the rest of us will be. Possibly there.

Sorry for the typo. Anyway I wish I could be there. I know I am going to make a day of it. Sort of a pre Halloween celebration. Oh, and this year the 13th of December is also on a Friday, so get your Creepmas decorations ready, hand your ToT bag by the chimney next to your stocking, hand a skull on the creepmass tree and don't forget to leave some corn candy out for pumpkin clause.

That sounds fun.
If you have never been to Ashland Oregon and their world famous Shakespearean Festival it's worth a bucket list entry.
