Wait a minute...a Waynesboro location popped up here in a search?
Might just have to check it out.

Oh, Waynesboro. We used to go to church in Waynesboro. Bethany-Trinity, a very old congregation going back into the 18th century. Both my boys were baptized there.

I love Waynesboro. It's one of my favorite shopping places. It's a bit of a drive there, but always worth it.
And they have an Aldi's, which is a familiar store I used to go to in New York.

The one in NY was only 5 minutes away, but I was still really excited when they put one in.
Oh I love old buildings. That sounds neat Murf.

The actual church building we went to in Waynesboro probably wasn't that old. I mean, it was old enough, maybe early 20th century? But the original congregation had met out in the country in an old wooden church. They used to have a sort of "rally day" in August when we would go out to that old church. It probably wasn't the original building, either, but maybe went back into the mid-19th century. I suppose it was the site of the original building. There were several families in the congregation who had been part of it from the very beginning, like from the 1730s or '40s.

I've quit dusting. Hopefully I'll have a nice buildup of cobwebs by the big day.

I always liked that joke about not needing to dust because the cob webs just became a "decoration." "Thanks Halloween!"
Though I prefer the halloween spider decorations over the real ones. I think the only spiders I'm not freaked out about are "Daddy long legs" which even though their poison is one of the deadliest and most potent; their fangs are too small to pierce the skin. Those spiders usually leave me alone anyway.
It's also like with bees; I don't mind honey bees or bumble bees as long as they leave me alone. But I hate wasps, hornets or anything I know would attack me for no reason. Despite my fear of bees I do find their social constructs fascinating.
Typically most animals follow the "if you leave me alone I'll leave you alone" rule; unless they're spooked or feel threatened. I admit I'd probably flip if a bear came in our yard or if I saw rattle snake. There are both around here; along with black widows and wolf spiders. I saw a spider once that looked like a widow but had slightly different markings. I wasn't going to take any chances though. Our youngest male cat wanted to play with it; and I swear I had a rush of adrenaline when I went to pick him up and carry him out of harm's way. My boyfriend ended up killing the spider.
They say black snakes are quite beneficial for your yard. My Professor actually didn't mind the rattlers too much, because he said they eat ticks. So there's a purpose for every creature. That's one reason I'm not happy at all about tigers dying out; besides the fact that I'm a cat fanatic.
I'm not that crazy about bugs and arachnids anyway; but there are a few I like such as butterflies, moths (especially the really pretty Luna Moth), dragon flies (they eat mosquitoes!) and fire flies/lightning bugs.
But going back to cleaning cob webs, I just get 'em with the vacuum.

Those things collect dust which isn't friendly for my allergies.

I was just at Michael's, and they were just beginning to put out the Halloween stuff. Lots of shelves were cleared off, and what was going up was fall/Halloween.

Oh I love Michael's. They're a bit on the pricey side though and I have to go to Waynesboro if I want to go to one; but I love the stuff they offer for Halloween and their selection. I did end up getting some canvas there; and once I got some cute little Halloween desktop lights with little cats and pumpkins.

Oriental trading is a catalog I've seen before. Bed, Bath and Beyond is another store I have to drive quite a ways to go to. I didn't even know they had Halloween stuff.
The rest of that stuff is new to me.
My Grandma used to get Lakeside Collection and Collections Etc. Catalogs along with one for Miniatures. All of them usually had Halloween stuff.
