My favorite halloween prank:

Have a scarecrow up on your porch for a few weeks prior to halloween, just as decoration.

Come halloween night, replace it with a person in the scarecrow outfit with straw stuffed in their hat, sleeves, and pantlegs. When someone goes for the doorbell, grab hand. =P
