Christmas Lights for Halloween?
Have you ever thought of using Christmas lights to decorate for Halloween? I know a lot of people use props, but what about using orange/amber or purple lights to accent them. I think it's an awesome idea!

I don't exactly use Christmas-style lights, but I do have a couple of strings of purple "bat lights" I've used for the last several years. I hang them in a small tree in my front yard. People love them. (Each string has about six cardboard bats, and the bat shapes are outlined in purple lights.)

Sorry, I don't use XMAS lights for Halloween!
I only use all kinds of Halloween lights at once!

A friend of mine and her kids took plastic milk jugs, drew pumpkin/scary faces on them with markers and then put white christmas lights in the inside to light them up. Very cute.

I have done that, too. It was a craft project in Family Fun magazine a few years back. And, yes, they are surprisingly cute! I call mine ghost lights.Morticia wrote:A friend of mine and her kids took plastic milk jugs, drew pumpkin/scary faces on them with markers and then put white christmas lights in the inside to light them up.
