Has anyone seen that episode of SeaLab 2021 where Spark is talking with "White Debbie" about Johnathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal"? =)

I knew a guy who "ate" babies on the net. He was really weird. (I think he was just joking though.)

But thanks Jadewick, I'll look into getting one...when I get the money. ^^;
I'm glad someone on here understands how I feel. The thing is, I don't think I'm ever going to be ready to take any plunges and "pop out a parasite." I just rather adopt a bunch of cats.
In fact, I may just adopt if I decide to have kids. The world's overpopulated as it is and there's plenty of kids in need of homes.
Besides, I don't want to put my body through all that stress.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

I was only joking about that, too. I don't really "eat" babies. Just a little Halloween gruesome humor. Or sick homor.

Anyway, there are lots of people who don't have any kids of their own. I love my little nieces and nephews, but fatherhood just isn't for everyone, and it's definately not for me. In fact, I never had any real desire to get married either. I love women, but I guess I am what you would call "too set in my ways" to make any mariage to work.

The bottom line is, I am just not a "family man," and I guess the same thing can be said of some women, too. My older sister never married either. She lives down in Florida by her self. has a pretty decent life, loves the family, loves to hear from us, and has plenty of people who she socializes with, like I do, but she just doesn't want to life with anyone.

Believe it or not, I even seriously considered the Priesthood, and am still considering becoming a permant Deacon after I retire from my present job.

Whatever works for you Pumpkin Man, I won't judge you! If you want to be part of the priesthood, go for it.
As for me, I do want to get married someday and have a family...but just not one that includes children. If that makes any sense. Being by myself would get lonely, and don't get me wrong, I like to have my "me" time but I like having someone to share my life with as well.
But who I share that life with isn't going to be a rugrat!

Many people share in your feelings. Like I said, I an NOT husband or father material. There are times when I actualy do get lonely, but for the most part, I pretty much like my life the way it is.

That's good to know. I'm the type that wants to get married, but I just don't want the kids part. Whatever floats your boat is what they say.

The saying 'hell is other people' applies to me, just not to that extreme.

My housemates and I get along because we all know when to let the others be, and when to hang out.

That's a rare commodity in a friend!! :D
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I don't have any house mates. I'm lucky because I own my living space, and can pretty much do what I please. I still have to be considerate of my neighbors. I ahve to mow the lawn when it gets too tall, shovel the side walk when it snows, and keep the place reasonabley clean. I also can't annoy the neighbors by bringing my stereo system outside and blasting it to all hours of thenight, but all in all, I have no competition for the television, the phone, the computer, the bathroom or the stereo. I also have nobody asking me when I'm going to be back from an outing, or where I've been.

Some times it gets lonely, but then I am going to be 49 this July, and I am pretty much set in my ways. If it's Gods Will that I should meet "Miss Right" and get married, I'll obviously have to make changes, and if it's God's Will that I have kids (Heaven forbit) I'll try to be as good a father to them as my father was to me, but all in all, I like my 100 year old house, I like my motorcycle, I like my stereo I like my job and I like my life.
