1979 Made For TV version of Fall Of The House Of Usher
This film, as it was on a low budget, was a nice family friendly effort in telling the short Poe tale. Some cheap props were noticiable, but the spirit of the chilling tale was apparent. The character of Madelin usher in this film gave me chills.
One must remember the limited budget of a made for TV film as well as the strict censorship of TV both then, and still in some places, today.
If you looked at this film as though you were watching a play, you would let the story and the eerie quality spin you a web, and you would find that harsh criticism for this film is unwarrented.
This film can be found on sale at Amazon.com for roughly 10.00 on VHS and is a rare find.

I rebuke the bad reviews of Fall Of The House Of Usher 1979
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.
