Last House on the Left

Post by Pumpkin_Man » Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:35 pm

This is not really a "horror" movie per se, but it was pretty gruesome, and it's well worth the price of admission if you enjoy seeing the 'bad guys' get their come-upance. I don't want to spoil it for anyone because it's still out at the theatres, but sufice it to say, it's a great story, and the bad guys truely are very sorry they ever walked into "the last house on the left."

Definately NOT a movie for the whole family, however. There is graphic violence, gruesome scenes of carnage, and there's also a rape scene, so I would not reccomend it for the little ones. It is rated "R," and probably would be a good idea to go with the "under 17 not addmitted" philosophy if you plan on going to the theatres to se it. If you plan to wait for the DVD, it would still be advisable to restrict the viewers to persons who would not be freaked out by blood, buts and brains. Perhaps after the little whippers are in bed would be the best time to screan "Last House on the Left."

That's very interesting movie! Honestly, the original classic Last House On The Left (1972) really didn't please with it. But I hope to see this remake when it comes to DVD. ;)

I hope to see it if this remake is much better than the classic flick. Yes, I know this is not horror movie. It looks like suspense/drama/thriller film.

Curious. What do you mean, it isn't a really horror movie?

man i've been wanting to see this movie but just haven't gotten around to it...
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

the original was just sick, couldnt watch the whole thing. After 30min I had to turn it off, I just cant get into two girls being raped and torchered over and over. But, the remake was pretty good, that one was nothing like the original.

I'm not really interested watching both the original and remake either. I wouldn't want to watch them again! :roll:

Anyways.... Horror doesn't have to involve horrors. Horrors are meant to frighten you - Monster movies just bore me and make me laugh rather than terrify me. :? :lol:

Truly gruesome! I couldn't watch it all, either.
