Re: An American Werewolf In London remake
Seriously?! Seriously! Why do people need to keep making remakes?! Have people seriously run out of original ideas for their own horror movies or run out of storylines to actually add on a new story to a franchise that hasn't been done yet and bring the characters into the modern age? Thats What I'd like to see. Nothing wrong with wanting to do something with the stagnant horror franchises, but instead of making half-a$$ed, poor remakes, further the story from the last one, and make it current, with much better actors and actresses, and something not done before. We have all the newest and best technology today to do these things, why not do them. Those old classic movies, are beloved and and considered classic mostly for their production aspects alone. You shouldn't mess with classics. Just make new ones.
Lets take a look at it this way (Note: These are just my opinion)
Remakes from 2000 till present:
Carrie (2002) - Sucked
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) - Good
Dawn of the Dead (2004) - Good
The Amityville Horror (2005) - Sucked
House of Wax (2005) - Sucked
Land of the Dead (2005) - Sucked
Black Christmas (2006) - Sucked
The Hills Have Eyes (2006) - Good
Night of the Living Dead 3D (2006) - Sucked
The Omen (2006) - Sucked
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) - Sucked
The Mist (2007) - Sucked
April Fools Day (2008) - Sucked
Day of the Dead (2008) - Decent
Prom Night (2008) - Sucked
Friday The 13th (2009) - Sucked
The Last House On The Left (2009) - Good
My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009) - Sucked
Proposed and In the works remakes:
Night of the Demons
The Stepfather
The Wolfman
A Nightmare On Elm Street
Hellraiser
Child's Play
The Thing
American Werewolf In London
Sad.

I personally do prefer werewolf in London the best than in Paris.

I have "An American Wearwolf in Paris." I thought it was mediocre at best. I LOVED "An American Wearwolf in London." The only problem is the departure from tradition.

I heard rumors flying out there everywhere about this American Werewolf in London remake, it could be coming out in 2010 or 2011, but they're not so sure as yet. We have to wait and see what happens next year... I hope they will update more news about this one.

Re: An American Werewolf In London remake
Well, you know what they say about rumors, on line or otherwise. I've been hearing simular rumors about a "Dark Shadows" movie that's being made. The problem is I've been hearing these rumors since the late 90s, and have yet to see any trailors.
I do think it would be great, however. As for "An American Wearwolf in London," it's too soon for a remake IMHO, but then again, a remake might have a greater impact on the younger audiences then the original would.
