Torture Chamber in my garage

My cousin and I have plans to turn the garage into a torture chamber for Halloween (I know, I know :D), but what I'm wondering is...

I would like to make of the torture devices, like stocks, out of foam board. I know it can be done, it'll be like making tombstones or window boards, but I'm wondering if I can make the hardware pieces out of Sculpey clay. I'm trying to keep the props as ligh as possible so they will be easier to store.

Anyway, anyone know a haunted house that has a torture chamber, dungeon with victims, characters in the rack and shacks/stocks? If so, please send me the information with link. I'd love to check it out! :D

Thanks!

My cousin and I've been talked about this.... we need to make stocks, a rack (big dream there), iron maiden. I think these are the main ones. The hardware only has to be decorative, not functional. ;)

I hate to show my ignorance here, but would sculpy clay really be lighter than sculpting your props out of styrofoam? Seems like if you created pieces with interlocking joints, they would be very lightweight and easy to take apart and store. I've never used sculpy so I have no idea :|

If you're making a lot of the same pieces, you might consider doing a Polyurethane Resin cast.

There is a basic tutorial here:

... and also this book:

Spooky-- AWESOME photos! I'm jealous! If I ever make it out to Florida, I'll have to go to Medieval Times. Looks like it was a fun time! =)
