Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I do have the NBC DVD, but it's been ages since I checked the extra features. I'll have to look.

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread

I stubbornly cling to hope for a grandchild or two.

My mother was one of four kids, and each one of them had only one apiece. They all graduated into the Depression and WW2. I don't think times are as bad as that right now.

Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

No, it's from c 2012, when the movie was released. I was unfamiliar with an earlier version, though I think maybe there was one. We have the DVD of 2012 Frankenweenie.

Re: Catching up

We have white pumpkins around here, maybe not as white as that. But they are great for carving skull faces. I have found their rind is thicker than the orange pumpkins.

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread

I think the Beanies have had a bit of a resurgence. Possibly Care Bears have as well. It's somewhat cyclic. 90s kids who now have kids of their own are getting nostalgic. Of course, my own 90s kids don't appear to know how to make babies. I guess I failed them. But there are a few out there who did ...

That and a sip of pure vanilla extract. Two of the biggest disappointments of childhood.

Re: HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON 2025

That's a great list. I own most, but not all, of those movies. I just acquired the full Nightmare on Elm Street series. It's fun watching baby Johnny Depp, since he's a favorite actor of mine. We've been having a bit of a Depp marathon this season, with repeated viewings of Sleepy Hollow, From Hell ...

Re: Unpacking the good stuff.

Beautiful!

I still haven't done squat, but I did buy ten cheap, tiny jack o lanterns at Walmart and some LED flicker lights. I intend to hang them in my tree branches on the big night, provided it doesn't rain.

Re: The Halloween fast food thread

That's cute. One of the things I miss about commercial TV is the imagination of some of the ads. I recall one from a few years ago, no longer recall the product, but it had a group of young people fleeing a serial.killer and choosing all the worst hide outs.

Kit Kats have some Halloween flavors ...

Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I agree with your assessment of the Fraser Mummy movies, HH.

My daughter, who collected stuffed animals throughout her teen years, has a stuffed Frankenweenie. I wonder how many of those exist.

Re: Catching up

Lol ! You know, I vividly remember doing that when I was about 3. I climbed onto the kitchen table and started eating it. My mother caught me, of course.

That is amazing!

I am very behindhand with my decorating. My husband just mowed the front yard, so I'm hoping to get stuff out this week.

Re: I am now watching (streaming edition)...

I have a couple of Halloweenish tv series I try to watch this time of year, Grimm and Moonlight. The latter was a rather good vampire romance that lasted only 16 episodes, sadly. We also have every season of the tv series Sleepy Hollow, which started out great and then lost its way, we thought.

I ...
