I never fail to be shocked when I hear about people like that and hope that I don't become indifferent to them.

And out again for Thanksgiving weekend, of course.

I also have a couple of patriotic Christmas ornaments. Like the victorians had.

I leave flags out all summer beginning on memorial day.

It just makes it seem more 'summer-y'.

As far as six degrees of separation, it's the same all over.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.However, my parents are from the upper midwest so that makes me 'new'.

I think I would have enjoyed a cigar and a bourbon with the late Mr. Foote.

Speaking of the south, I found a copy of the d v d of Ken Burn's 'Civil War', and have been watched it.

I forgot what a masterpiece it is.

I will check out Michael's and see what's going on with that.

Regarding this thread, our weather has been in the low 50s and raining!

I'm watching the Munsters channel on the Samsung streaming channel.

I watched the Great Pumpkin.

Not too exciting but it worked for me.
