Not a competition, more like shared, melancholic comiseration?

I too have my outside lights on tonight.

Tomorrow they get packed away and no outsiders will know that I have 3 trees to take down, and half a dozen wreaths to pack away.

'Chilly' is a relative term, it's drizzling and foggy right now but it's almost 60° .

A bit soggy tonight, but very atmospheric.

One of my sisters found the stereo viewer and every now and then she will find cards in thrift shops and buy them for me.

And modern smartphones fit in the holder, and since I make my own 3D images, I can use it to view them.

I'm still very much in Christmas mode.

Everything is up and lit enough to see from outer space.

Fresh whole cranberries will last almost a year in a freezer.

It's amazing how memories and emotions can be triggered by taste, sight and aroma.

My mom was a terrible cook but an excellent baker and the taste of a Cinnabon will transport me back to the house I grew up in, with a cavalcade of memories of all kinds.

He looks very happy...right?

I think I'll still be decorating by New Years...

All she can say is 'no' don't let it stop you from asking.
