HALLOWEEN REMAKE

Yep, I understand some people got upset about this Halloween remake film, some others love to see it! The reason some people got upset about this Halloween remake because they were expected to see Halloween 9, you know? I believe it was shown titled like that

HALLOWEEN: The Rebirth of Michael Myers

Not sure if you've heard it already? It was rumored almost last year...

Mmmm... We gotta wait until next year on October 2007, maybe earlier than that release date.

I would like to see it only because I loved the 1st. I have seen all of the others, and after a while the storylines got all weird and part 3 had nothing to do with Michael Meyers.....so I would like to see Zombie's take on a classic, maybe he can make it scary again.

Sorry if this has been posted already, but Dimension Films has announced Rob Zombie will write, direct, co-produce and supervise music for the next HALLOWEEN film, which he describes as a Remake-Prequel. I'm not sure how I feel about this as a HUGE Michael Myers fan. Nothing against Rob Zombie, but this film is a classic, and "The Devils Rejects" and "House of 1000 Corpses" does not come ANYWHERE close!!! What do you guys think? I understand how you feel. I posted on another thread about how much I love the "Halloween" movies. I read a short interview he did and he sayd he hopes to make the franchise scary again. He said he is not going to focus on the gore as much as the terror. I hope it works out because Michael Meyers is one of the scariest characters in film history. I hope he does the franchise some justice.

I am also a huge Michael Myers and Halloween Film fan...I agree with you when you say that Halloween is a classic and it will be very hard for Rob Zombie to create the same feel as the older Halloween Movies. I also hope that in Halloween 9 Michael still has the same stealthy eeriness (sp?) that he has in the older movies. All we can do at this point is hope that Rob Zombie knows what hes doing and doesnt ruin the series
