This is the best stuff I ever tasted, my mother-in-law's recipe. Can't have Thanksgiving without it!
1 Lb cranberries (12 oz pkg will do)
2 C applesauce
2 C crushed pineapple
2 C sugar
2 sm box cherry jello
wash berries, cover with water and cook until soft, then drain. Dissolve jello in 2 C boiling water. Add cranberries, applesauce, pineapple and sugar. Refrigerate. Stir once it starts to gel. Store in fridge.
(I add a handful of chopped walnuts to ours, it tastes great, but Uncle Kevie doesn't like nuts, so the one we serve at the main dinner is nut free!)
