I have decided to take all of our stuff down before this party on the 25th. Having spooky stuff in my room is one thing, but in the rest of the house it feels weird. Like it's not special anymore. If it was my just my house, it would be different. Also I am concerned that some of my things may get ruined or disappear seeing as I have to work that night anyway. But it has been fun while it lasted.

I'M STILL SEEING SOME SURVING HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS. ONE HOUSE HAD BOTH HALLOWEEN AND CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS.

Okay I finally threw out my JoL's yesterday. Two of them melted some from mold, but my son's was still new looking. i don't know why his was immune but it looked like I had just carved it. he bought his from his daycare, the two that molded were bought from WalMart.

We have a winner. At least as of Friday morning.
Some guy a block past the synagoge has his Halloween decoration still up. Plastic pumpkin face on a stick. Not bad.
Thing is, how do you go up and congratulate him without getting blasted away as some sort of kook?

Stick an annonymous thank you note on his mailbox or door. And watch from down the street.
I may grow older, but I refuse to grow up.
I'm not weird, just normal challenged.

I actually still have a pumpkin on my porch.

I had three but two have died along the way.

Blemishes are always the death of them.

I still have a JOL face suncatcher in my kitchen window, but he lives there year round.

I still have my four foot tall upside down sleeping demon hanging in my closet, but he lives there now. Last week at Palais Royal they still had some Halloween/fall decorations on clearance.

I agree with what Claudia said above, though. I like packing it all away because it just makes it so much more special and exciting when you get to pull it all out again next year. I like the idea of having the little nightlight, or some other tiny touches that remind you of the best of all holidays.

I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.
