I just got dumped . . .

Post by thislazylife » Wed Nov 01, 2006 10:34 pm

. . . at least that's what it feels like. I was looking forward to/obsessing over Halloween since probably July. Started making decorations and props in mid September. Started compulsively checking the weather in early October. Now that it's over, I feel as if a lover has kicked me to the curb. Anyone else feel the same way?
Laurie stares at the station wagon as it moves past. She looks directly at The Shape inside. There is a quick glimpse of him, a strange pale face staring back.

Well not quite dumped, more like the honeymoon is over sort of thing.:wink:

I am very thankful though..it started to rain tonight! Missed it by a day, thankfully. They should move halloween up to August, so we all have a good chance of low wind and great weather. And I still say it should be a week long, or at least a full weekend.

I feel it!! I looked around my house tonight and it looks BARREN!!

What a bummer.

Should we stay here and become a support group for each other, cause of the post Halloween blues?

I feel good. I got done most of what I wanted too, even being under the weather and having so little time between work and school. I enjoyed it and now that its over I can think back on it with good thoughts. It was definatly a good Halloween.

I just feel pooped lol..Hubby started getting sick before and didnt get all of his stuff out. I was doing the inside party and decorating and baking and planning so wasnt a whole lot of help to him. Then..it snowed! It was so cold here that we got maybe half the kids we usually do if that. But our graveyard looked great anyways, our party was fun, the food was great, and hubby is already making plans for more things for next year. We were out and about buying up marked down pumpkins and decorations today...good deals!!

I feel a little odd as this year I didnt do my normal halloween thing! So i just want it to last as long as i can, but christmas is fast approching. I am trying to keep autumn for a while. I am consoling myself with plans for next year, that I didnt get chance to do this year. I am also hoping i have my own house by then so........should be good! More room for halloween decor.

I didn't feel dumped as such. It was more like a short, but intense holiday romance. And I forgot to write down her phone number
The steeples are white in the wild moonlight,
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see the vampires fly,
And the harpies of upper air,
That flutter and laugh and stare.

Boo, you're a hoot! This week has been harder for me than last, some of the glow is starting to wear off :( . Still putting things away, little by little. Maybe that's my problem, I need to do it fast, like ripping off a band-aid! LOL

I'm having trouble dragging myself away from Halloween this year.......I don't usually but this year I'm struggling.
The steeples are white in the wild moonlight,
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see the vampires fly,
And the harpies of upper air,
That flutter and laugh and stare.
