New Horror Movies in Theaters?

Post by mandy0221 » Wed Oct 25, 2006 7:41 pm

Ok so I was watching tv the other night and caught the tale end of an advertisement. They said something about movies being produced that were too horrifying to ever put in a theatre. They are now going to put them all together and release them in some frightfest or something. It said like "coming to theatres near you"

Did anyone else see this? I could kick myself for not paying more attention.

Can't wait!!

It's 8 horror movies that are supposed to be so graphic and disturbing that they aren't appropriate for major release. They are being released in 500 theaters on the weekend of Nov. 17-19. Sounds like you can buy one pass to see all of them, but I can't imagine watching 8 movies in one weekend unless I was at my house and I could pause it to run to the bathroom now and then.

Thanks! I am so glad someone else knew what I was talking about. I thought it was crazy too...that many movies in just one weekend. Is anyone planning on going?

Well I just found out that the nearest theatre to me is about 2 hours away. And what I dont get is that it is in a small town city...when Louisville is the 16th largest city in the country. HMMMMM Someone must have screwed up there.

I'm mad!!!

It's showing at like four or five places in the Houston Metro area, I would LOVE to go see this, but it's the weekend I'm coming back from Maine, so I doubt very seriously I'll be able to.
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

I have seen these movies sold at Wal Mart. I saw one of them at school once(lol, who would think a movie like that would be shown at a high school). It was called Infection, a japanese horror movie. It was really disturbing and scary. Although they didn't have enough time to show the whole film, I had to look for it online and saw it. I do recommend you all see it, it is really creepy.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

According to the link that EvilMel provided it looks like they're on their 4th release. Coming out on January 29th. Also looks like you can buy the previous ones on DVD.

hahah no worries that gets me all the time too. I did find a few horror movie festivals in nyc and california that seem pretty cool but I haven't been able to find any near my area which is a real bummer but I'm not going to give up looking cuase I think one of those festivals would be right up my ally!

i know what ya mean.. i live down here in the dixie (bible belt) so its pretty tough to get anything remotely "horror oriented" around here. i usually have to travel to atlanta or birmingham for anything good
