Who has seen the Nutcracker? I love it soo much and I was in it a few times when I did ballet (yes, it's true, I was a ballerina).

I went to see a performance when I was in High School, and I think once is enough.

It was colorful and bright and went on about 5 days...at least that's how it felt to me.

I prefer the DVD so I can skip to the good parts

One of the local church does one every year and does a good job with it. It is all kids and they do it to raise money for a Dreams Come True child (sometimes 2). It is always so touching to see the child who gets the benefit from it.

I have only seen the Nutcracker barbie version and I wonder if there is some more movies of Nutcracker?. I am not really a fan of nutcracker but I do like the barbie movie because of the story and also it has beautiful barbie character's.

I've got a couple performances on tape: The 1983 version with Peggy Fleming (The Nutcracker: A Fantasy on Ice) and the 1985 version with the Royal Opera House Ballet.
