We have done Angels before, but alternate with a star depending on the year and the mood.

What do you have sitting on top of your Christmas Tree?

At my parents house we always had an angel on the smaller artificial tree the "fancy" tree. There was a star on the real tree. At my house I have a sort of gold....blob....thing..... that my niece made for me. Lol, but it's cute.
