Nutter Butter Pie

Here is one of two desserts I will be serving on Thanksgiving. I received a request from a dear friend to share them on the board, so here they are:



Nutter Butter Pie



Ingredients:

24 Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

5 Tbsp. Butter, melted

1 pkg (8 oz) Cream Cheese

1 cup creamy peanut butter

3/4 cup sugar

1 Tbsp. vanilla

1 tub (8oz) COOL Whip Whipped Topping, Thawed, divided



Directions

Crush cookies in zipper-style plastic bag with rolling pin or in a food processor.

Mix cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press onto bottom and up the side of a 9inch pie plate.

Mix Cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla into an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping. Spoon mixture in curst. Freeze 4 hours or overnight until firm. Let stand 30 minutes or until pie can be cut easily.



You can garnish the top with extra cookies or I preffer to due a whip cream topping.



PS. Don't know where I got this recipe from, but it's very easy to make and is always a hit.

C---K!!!! That pie is absolutely DEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS!!!! It's already gone dangit, we didn't even get to bring any home! It's my bottomless pit of a brother's fault!! Lord, that was so good-that's a keeper!! Next time I'll have to give the cream cheese more time to thaw beforehand though...I really had to manhandle that stuff to get it mixed in.

Your recipe for this pie sounds awesome, especially since I love peanut butter. One question though........I have never seen Nutter Butter Peanut Butter cookies here in Ontario so I will have to use a substitute brand. Do Nutter Butter cookies have the peanut butter cream centers with the cookie on each side.....like Oreos? Thanks.........
