Here she is hanging tinsel on the tree.
OOPS! She dropped it. Butterfingers!

We lost half of a package of tinsel this way.
Here she's putting the final touches on
the tree that only a "mom" can do.

The final outcome. When I was a kid, we
had a real tree, and the larger C7 strings
of lights, (the kind with the red and green
wires, metal clips and bakealite sockets?)
Back then, when you dragged down the
decorations from the attic, and opened
the box. The smell of the decorations
hit you. You definatly knew it was
time for Christmas when you got
a whiff of that scent. WOW!
We had real molded
glass blown oraments
with the glitter on them,
and tinsel just dripping down
the branches. This is what I tried
to duplicate here. The lights are smaller,
the ornaments are plastic, and the tree is
artificial. But it's cool, because it's safer
than the real trees. I like "safer".
But the tinsel shimmers
when the ceiling fan
is in reverse. It
"twinkles" all
over the tree.
Just imagine the
tiny tiny spots you
see in the image of the
tree just blinking randomly
all over the tree. Catching colored
light from the lights of the tree. It's beautiful!
