Christmas at the Zoo...Zoolights!

Postby Holly Cl'Oz on Sun Nov 04, 2007 4:10 pm

The zoo here advertised a Wizard of Oz theme at Christmas at the Zoo last year. I've been wanting to go the whole 5 years I've lived here anyway and if there's anything Oz it's pretty much guaranteed I'll get to go, so woohoo off to the zoo we went. Their "theme" turned out to be one set of lights. But it was so fun anyway. The whole zoo is decked out in Christmas lights. It was so beautiful. They have train rides and hot chocolate too. I bundled up as best I could and still froze my tuckus off but it was so worth it. I love Christmas lights! We also have Peacock Lane which is a little quaint street and all of the houses REALLY deck out in Christmas. Again, something really beautiful to see. We also frequent a couple of Christmas stores here. One is called Sleighbells which is AWESOME. They have a great Halloween room too. And a store here called Christmas at the Zoo (not actually at the zoo but whatever) that's a little spendy but great fun to browse.
