I plan my VA appointments in December every year just so me & the family can spend part of our holiday at Biltmore.

As I have said before, we own a victorian and I always decorate victorian, I love to take bits of ideas from Biltmore Estate to use in our own home.

This years trip is Dec 7th....if you have never seen it....ya gotta make the trip even if victorian decor is not your thing it is amazing. :P

We live about 131 miles from Biltmore...thats not too bad. :)

I went there 4 years ago on my 30th birthday (nov 29) and it was frickin' incredible. I loved seeing all the lights and everything so extravagantly decorated.

We did the wine and chocolate tasting, which was free, and it was soooo fun.

I'm with you on loving Biltmore.

Wow! That picture is absolutely beautiful! With a place like that I can't imagine ANY picture doing it real justice.

Ohhhh, Catzilla, it IS so magnificent and elegant and unreal!! We have had the absolute pleasure of touring the Estates during Christmas and I will never forget it!! I would love to take the kids one season a couple years down the road when they'll remember it...it's only about a 4 hour ride from our house. You're right Pete, the pictures don't do it justice.

The carolers that greet you upon entrance just makes you drift back to the ''Gilded Age''....me & my wife house hunted for years until we found the victorian that was right for us.

That is why we call our home...... ''The Little Biltmore'' :P

Catz, that place is amazing. I'd love to see some pics of your house when you decorate for Christmas. If it's modeled after that place, it has got to be beautiful. :D

Thing is our home is not quite done with the remodel yet...it's from the same time era, but it's a farm home...about 4100 sqft, but we got it really cheap cause it needed work.

When the time comes I will be more than happy to share the pics...I have 5 FP's & I only have one done if that tells ya anything.

I want each room to have it's own unique persona.

We only call it the ''Little Biltmore'' cause we know unless we win the lotto it's the closest thing we will ever have to Biltmore Estate. :)
