I've said it before, and I'll say it again...LDC...I just LOVE you!!! THAT is an awesome tree!! What a great idea. That's what I'm gonna ask Santa for next year...some Halloween ornaments. Great work!

We top our tree with a big gold ribbon from the first (& last) box of lingerie I bought my wife. After I bought them I asked her why she never wore them and she gave me a bunch of reasons, but did not want to hurt my feelings. Luckily, I still had the receipt and she took them back. Now I give her a gift certificate from the local lingerie store, but we annually have a good laugh about dumb men when we put up our tree.

My family has more than one tree so we have a Christmas topper for all three trees.Our Hallmark tree has a star, our Living room tree has a Santa tree topper and our real tree has an angel topper.

We have a Star. But I do have a Glinda the good witch tree topper for when I'm finally allowed to put my Oz tree up.

I have a star. It's a 3-D star, with mirrored facets. It's sort of put together like a stained glass window. So it's glass and lead. It's really too heavy to use as a tree topper. In fact it's supposed to be an ornament. But it's hung from the ceiling, over the tree, with monofilament fishing line. And if you want to, you can make it spin.



I want to get something to make it rotate. Maybe something that catches the breeze from the air conditioner vent. I bought it at Wal Mart last year and I left it hanging all year long. Even during Halloween. It's the one Christmas thing I left outside the box. But this year, Wally World didn't seem to have it. I would really like to get a few more of them.



I also collect anything that looks like a snowflake. I have one that's made of polished steel, and one that's made of stained glass. I don't care much for the white plastic irredecent ones I've seen. They really have to be made of something unique & special. The two snowflakes were also left outside the box.

Growing up it started as an angel, then we got one of those stars that light up to replace it but the past couple of years we started using bows. Every year we like to have a different combo of lights on the tree and try to get a matching bow to top it off. Last year we had a string of gold and a string of clear bulbs with gold, red and burgundy balls, some glittery and some plain and had a burgundy and gold bow on the top.

I got this little guy at Gump's in San Francisco a few years ago.

He's about 10" tall and made from thin glass but quite sturdy.
