I think I'm going to bake some skull cupcakes when I get done decorating. Torn between making chocolate fudge cakes or just plain white ones. Decisions, decisions...
May even ice them to look like little mummy cakes or franken-cakes

We are taking a hike around Stones River National (Civil War) Battlefield today. The weather is cool and beautiful. Happy October, everyone!

I made both kinds this weekend. I gave a little over half of them away to my brother and niece. When she picked one out to eat at my house, she chose the chocolate fudge Alice Cooper skull cake. Excellent choice, I told her. I knew she would be a rocker

Re: In honor of October 1st...
Went to our local cider mill on the first. Bought all the essentials: 3 apple pies (Country, crumb and dutch), fudge bars (chocolate, maple walnut, chocolate and peanutbutter, mint and vanilla), apples (Cortland, Mac, Northern Spies), doughnuts and (unfortunately, the cider press had been shut down due to a broken gear) apple cider. We had to go back the next day for the cider. Great day!lol (No sarcasm!)
