Made these with my daughter last year out of salt dough, paint, buttons and scrap material.

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup salt
1 1/2 cups warm water
Mix well, form and let your art completely dry before painting.

Also made these last year. Dried a little weird and it cracked a little. We added thick craft paper behind the crack and they still came out just as beautiful.

Here are some we made in 2016 out of free craft supplies people donated to us. (Styrofoam balls, paint, small metal hooks, little craft lights, small tree branches, small plastic tabs for the noses and some extra love)

My "much better half" is a huge Harry Potter fan and while searching for ornaments, I found a site that showed some hand-made ball style ornaments. I will try my hand at those this year. Of course I will have to wait just a little longer for the "fillable" ornaments to come out at Hobby Lobby...
