I look forward to watching the Simpsons Halloween specials every year. I can't really say which one is my fav but an honorable mention would have to be the show when the town of Springfield is turned to zombies (all but the Simpsons of course) and when they are cornered in their house Marge (being a smart witted women) pretends to "make friends" with the zombies and as they zombies back out of the house under the impression we can all just get along Marge hauls out a Shot gun from behind her back and starts fighting......poor zombies....

I do have a peeve though. Where I live the new Simpson Halloween specials always show a day or two after Halloween instead of the week before....Frustrating. Does that happen to anyone else?

One more note.... i seen a Simpson Halloween Monopoly game on http://www.Halloweenonly.com . Looks interesting!

CBC here in Canada does about a week of them BEFORE halloweeen..most of you along the border should be able to tune in for next to nothing...
Favorite ones...the first one, but especially the one with Lisa doing THE RAVEN, reminds me of the old MAD magazine/ ROCKY AND BULLWINKLY parodies..
The KING KONG take off..
Mr. Smithers as a vampire..
Flanders as the Devil, in THE DEVIL AND HOMER SIMPSON. "It's always the person you least suspect..."

Seeing that the new season has started a few weeks early this year- the Treehouse of Horrors should be right on time.

And by the way, we love them too. Yesterday I posted about a Simpsons haunted town that they have for sale. It was SO much fun just looking at the picture of it, it's so accurate with the TOH episodes!

Being an absolute Simpsons nut, I do love a good Halloween special - but I think my favourite stories have to be (in no particular order):

The Shining (or shinning ;))
Dracula (with Mr Burns as Dracula)
The episode where Homer travels back and forth through time via the broken toaster
The episode with the cursed monkey paw

But there are so many great episodes - tons that I have forgotten and some I have never seen!

by Killing is my bussiness..
The episode with Homer making the toaster into a time machine- Time and Punishment! Best one ever!!! My favorite ! The reason for the delay in airing the Halloween special- BASEBALL. It's nice though to have a little bit of Halloween to enjoy in the month of November.-Mike
