I love the Night of the Living Dead Series with Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead and the newer Land of the Dead. This series might also include Return of the Living Dead and Return of the Living Dead 2 which I think are just based on the other set.

I love the Ring movies. I have watched all of them, including all 4 of the Japanese movies, Ringu, Rasen, Ringu 2 and Ringu 0, as well as the Ring, Rings and the Ring 2, and even the Ring virus (the mostly unknown korean version), and I can't wait until the Ring 3 comes out.
I'm such a nerd

I agree with Hooch, yay Nerds! But on the topic, for real scare factor I really like the Exorcist movies, but for seasonal ambience, I have to go with the classic Halloween movie series. I really enjoyed Freddie versus Jason, though, even though those two franchises are really more of my husband's thing than mine.
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

Well, I enjoy Jason just because he just cleans house of all the annoying stereotypical teen characters.
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.

Is Exorcise some type of horror weight loss program? Because if so then sign me up!

Step....one, two, three
spider walk, spider walk
Step...one, two, three
now spin your head, round and round

now breathe...

Dr. Strange, you are just too clever.... AND funny!!!

I'm kind of with Ooga... I like the Ring movies, too..... When I'm INTO horror movies, that is. I don't particularly like ANY of the movies listed in the poll. I DID like the original Exorcist..... but c'mon! It's the EXORICIST!!!

I didn't vote.

My personal favourite horror series is the Hannibal Lector series..

Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal and Red Dragon. Amazingly good films, with genuine terror and surprise and such clever directing. Plus Anthony Hopkins is brilliant in Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal and Ralph Fiennes in Red Dragon - he plays such a good bad guy, which of course we know all too well by his rendition of a certain evil, snake-like enemy of a certain Harry Potter...... :D
