I don't know if any of you are familar with Jim Shore's work or not. He does some really amazing figurines and sculptures. They are made of resin I believe but they look like they are carved from wood and quilted. You can look at pics online but photos do not do his pieces justice. They sell out regularly on QVC and you can see them at a lot of Hallmarks and nice gift shops. His Christmas and Halloween works are just incredible. Between my other half and I we only have four pieces but our wishlist is HUGE. Ideally, I'd like to get pieces for Christmas and Halloween but again finances have not been kind. *sigh* I'll have my other half post some pics because I don't know how. :(

Here's some links to get you started. Be sure to click on them to enlarge for detail. Here's the main page because some links aren't working for me. You'll want to look under these categories:

Ruldolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Series

Santas

Snowmen

Christmas

Angels

Nativity

We gave this Angel with Nativity Gown as a Christmas present last year and it was a big hit

I got this Santa last year for myself because I love Santa with critters

Check out all of the Jim Shore. He has some really cool Halloween pieces and Disney pieces. He makes a wide variety of subjects. Next time you're out shopping stop by a Hallmark and have a look. Most Hallmarks carry Jim Shore and they should be starting to really stock up for Christmas.
