two cuties from last year

I went delete mad in my piocture folder today, so I uploaded these to photobucket before they were gone forever.



These are our olive penguins from last year. SO easy and SO cute!Image



and our first gingerbread house from scratch. Yeah, yeah...I burned the front, I know. It was 100% edible. :wink:

yuppers! They're just olives, cream cheese and carrots. If you really wanted to get crazAy you could give them pimento bowties



oej, I wish I could take credit for the idea but I found them on allrecipes. I've been a member there for seven years and I never even saw them until last year :roll:

I can't wait to make them again this year! Sadly my pretty blue cutting board isn't quite as pretty anymore so I'll need to come up with a new display. :lol:

Thank you for posting the penguin recipe. Adorable!! I don't like olives but they are so cute I'll just HAVE to make them.

what did you use to make the cream cheese in such a perfect shape? what's the blue stuff, some kind of card sock? just curious because i think that i may make these this year. thanks SWC!

you guys are welcome! They're just too cute, i'm already searching for a cheese log recipe so I can shape it into an igloo :lol:



kallie, I put my cream cheese in a ziplock bag with a icing nozzle shoved in a cut corner, it really made filling the body pieces a breeze!
