Christmas Coke

Postby Holly Cl'Oz » Sun Nov 04, 2007 4:50 pm

Not a recipe but I don't see anywhere else for food related posts. Does anyone else get really excited over Santa Coke. I love coca-cola and every year I look forward to the Santa decorated coke. I saw some last night and I got really excited. I think it's just in my head but I think Santa Coke tastes better than regular Coke. :P

I KNOW OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT THOUGHT THAT!
O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,

It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining.

Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth...

Nope. I SO look forward to what I call Santa coke every year. Last year, one of our grocery stores went back to regular Coke before Christmas and I was a bit salty. And I'm totally convinced in my nutty little brain that there's something special in it.

My daughter would completely agree with you but even takes it one step further - she wants the old fashioned glass bottles with the silk screened or shrink wrapped Christmas designs.

I see those in stores here sometimes!! They were more common when I was a little girl, but I noticed in the past couple of years Coke has re-introduced them.

I am drinking Christmas coke right now. As soon as I see them out I buy them with Santa until they are all gone!!!!
I've been an awful good girl,

Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight.

I try to do the same! Last year we ran out in our area before Christmas and I was a bit salty. There's a sale going on right now at one of the grocery stores 5 twelve packs for $10 and $2 each is really cheap out here. This weekend I shall be stocking up.

I've seen the Santa coke in the old-fashioned bottles, we need to get some! Yesterday, my kids spotted Santa coke in round, Christmas ornament shapes!! Have y'all ever seen those?? I mean literally, they look like ornaments with a Christmas scene wrapping on them and Coke inside! The trick will be (with this slightly awkward design for little hands) getting the kids to drink it all without spilling it. Hmmmm, I think we'll have these outside today while I finish up our porch lights.
