Christmas Drinks!!!

Just wondering what kind of traditional drinks do you like to drink @ Christmas time..... If there is any other kinds of drink you especially like around Christmas please let me know...Thanks

I start drinking Hot Chocolate whenever the temp drops below 65 degrees and I drink Mulled Cider starting around Halloween. But the Eggnog, it just feels more Christmas-y to me.

I get this awesome cider spice at this little shop in Lexington, VA. Have to drive about 45 min to get there, but we go every fall and buy some. It's the best stuff I've ever tasted.

I love to mull apple cider or even wine...it just smells winter to me.



Hot chocolate...if any of you really like hot chocolate...get some of the Godiva hot dark chocolate...it's heavenly.



But really...egg nog...I could literally gain 10 pounds drinking that stuff. I always want to drink the entire container in one night...it's a sickness. hah hah. But I LOVE that stuff, AND my husband hates it. So I never have to worry about anyone drinking my egg nog (not that he would drink it all up anyways).

Now my mother-in-law, she has a recipe for eggnog with a little brandy in it...

I had eggnog a few times with I was a teenager...with a little bit of rum or brandy or something in it and it was really good but then I got the thought of raw egg in my mind and I haven't been able to drink it since but I find most people love it and people are fighting at the stores to get the last carton off the shelves... Just one of my ticks I guesss.

I think my fav. is hot choc. but that's anytime the temps start to drop. I also like homemade hot apple cider and I'll usually make a batch for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Yeah I don't mind apple cider either espcially spiced cider. It makes my house smell so nice and I had a nice big pot simmering on my stovetop the evening of decorating our tree!

I love to drink "Squirt" around Christmas , I don't know why...it isn't something I can't drink all year. But, there's something about it at Christmas that I like...I think it is getting a bunch of crushed ice in a Christmas glass, and having some Squirt...while I bake cookies, and listen to Christmas music.

I am having a mind lapse right now but I don't think I know what Squirt is?

It is pop/soda. It is made out of grapefruit juice, but it has other stuff in it, and I love it. I had some tonight. I have only ever seen it sold in 2 liter bottles.

Oh, now that you mention it I think I seen it before but I don't htink I have ever tried it. It will be on my pick up list to try for sure.
