Hi,
Yes, I carved all but a few my daughter did. It takes about 6 hours to carve 20 pumpkins.

I love doing it. My daughter wants us to do 100 pumpkins next year. We will see.

The pumpkins are taken by hunters to feed the deer. The seeds and guts are put in the compost in our backyard.
Did you see all 7 pages of pictures?
We are trying to do more with our yard each year.

OH I don' know why I didn't catch the pictures of the last two pages of the skeletons int he cage LOVE IT! and the two wicked witches boiling the head. Great spirit. You must of worked so hard but it is great to know that their are people like you out there spreading teh spirit of HAlloween and the fun that goes along with it. I loved all the pumpkins but I think my favorite is the one is the one with the little trick or treaters and the little girl witch is holding a Jack o lantern. Great detail and very Halloweeny. Which one is your favorite?

I don't really have one favorite. There are too many of them that I like. There are some patterns I do every other year because I like them so much. Then I try and do as many as I can to match out Halloween theme.
My daughter and I are the witches in the pictures. She has a very strong interest in all of Halloween. I think she will carry on the pumpkin carving and decorating.

That is amazing, and really amazing doesn't even describe it. What a great display. I bet the kiddies love coming to your house. I carve 3 or 4 pumpkins and my wrist goes dead.

I am a teacher in a city of about 5000. I have had kids come to my house when they are in 3rd grade. When I am their teacher in 6-7-8th grade, they tell me they remember coming to my house when they were in 3rd grade. They tell me everything that happened at that Halloween. It is great that they remember. I am glad they enjoy coming to my home.

Awesome!!
I wish I could do a yard full like that! I can just imagine what it must look like driving by!

Do you use candles in all of them?

We forgot to plant pumpkins this year (please don't beat me..lol) so we won't be doing that many this year.

I can't wait to see you pics for 2007

I bought stereo wire. I measure out the length I need between pumpkins and place light sockets where I need them. I buy candle shaped lights painted orange and red. They give a wonderful orange-yellow glow inside the pumpkins. I have 6-7 strands of wire to light 60+ pumpkins. If one burns out, I just replace the bulb.
I also cut the bottom out not the top of the pumpkin. This keeps the rain water out.

Ok I have a question. If you do 20 a day that would take you four days. How in the world are you preserving the ones you did on the first few days?
