Looking for Santa

Hi, I am wondering if any one can possibly help me out here. When I lived in Nova Scotia, Canada In the seventies I remember watching a short Christmas countdown with Santa. It used to come on around 6 pm just after the news, and right before Disney. This Santa was an awesome Santa with the kind of wonderful "Ho Ho Ho" that I still associate with Christmas. BUT I can't find any info on who the actor was that played Santa and I keep looking for vintage videos on Youtube but can't find a darn thing. Does anyone have any information? if you can help me out, I would REALLY love to hear from you!
