It is amazing how as soon as someone says you can't do something you want to do it all that much more!
Psychology at work. Balance is a good thing of course. Maybe you can work a compromise with them?
Have you talked about it with them? "Hey, mom, dad, maybe I can do one horror movie a month? And for December one Christmas movie a week?" Something so that they feel like you are respecting them while you are getting some horror movies and aren't put in the position of worrying about "forbidden fruit" being that much more attractive. Maybe tell them that you are actually sick of horror stuff, but it makes you angry. Would they listen?
I feel your pain though on getting angry when you are told not to do something.
Bobby Claus wrote:My parents said I cannot watch anymore horror movies. They say it's 'unhealthy', that I 'think about horror too much'. Well, I am sick of horror stuff. But it still pisses me off when they say I can't watch anymore horror stuff. I guess thats because I'm totally addicted to horror stuff!
