I've seen quite a variety around here, but none that I'd describe as "sickly yellow." I've seen green ones and bluish ones, some that were almost black. White ones of course. Warty ones, and small ones in a variety of colors, including some I'd call tiger striped (white with orange lines). But none I'd call yellow.

I tried to Google it, but everything they showed on line looked orange to me. I'd be interested to see your photos.

Ok, on my walk today I did see a decidedly yellow pumpkin on someone's porch, beside two orange ones. I wouldn't call it sickly, but it didn't look right, imo. Too sunny. Like an Easter pumpkin, if there were such a thing.

Well, I walked past that house again today, and the pumpkin looked less yellow and more cream colored, maybe French vanilla. So I wondered if the yellow ones fade out to cream over time. Or maybe the light made it look different from a sunny afternoon to a cloudy morning. At any rate, I'd never seen a pumpkin look as yellow as that one did yesterday.

Well, that's weird. No bright yellow pumpkins for me.

HH, that YouTube wouldn't play for me. Probably an issue on my end, failure to update or something.

Andy, I saw that pumpkin again in the mid afternoon sunlight, and it was as yellow as the one in your photo.

I don't even know where people are buying them. Our grocery store has had quite a variety, but nothing that looks like that.

Here are two 'normal' ones from my outing this morning.

The one being carved is 500lbs and the one on display tips the scale at 2000lbs.
