Well everyone, October is finally here. Time to go camping, scare ourselves with Movies, Haunted Houses, Mazes,Trails, Pumpkin patches. It doesn't feel right unless it's all done in October. Anyone else as excited as I am?

While I LOVE October, Late November/ early December is my favourite time because of all the Christmas hoopla.

October is my favorite month of the year. I love the weather, except today it rained, and my house was freezing, and I had to turn the heat up...for the first time this year.

I am leaving tomorrow to go shopping for Halloween stuff all day!!

Yippee!!

I absolutely love October! I love the atmosphere of Fall. The pumpkins, falling leaves, cider mills, cold days with howling wind. I love it all. Putting on warm, cozy clothes and curling up with hot chocolate! Yes, I am very excited!

Waiting on Cooler Fall-like Weather

I can't wait for the fall weather to really stay. So far here in TN we've had some nice cooler fall weather only to tease me because it then jumps back up into the 80's - like today (supposed to be 84 today and in the 80s the rest of the week). Oh well I'll be complaining of cold wet weather before too long so I suppose it's not so bad. I envy those of you with cooler fall weather already though.

four weeks exactly until Halloween.
Tonight, I got the first coat of varnish on the decaying corpse I've been building, and it's finally just about dried. Three or four more layers to follow...two more weeks here at work, and then it's vacation time.
also started making the vegetable soup the kids love when they come over...they call it red soup because of the tomato sauce base...and I head out today to get a couple of things for the gift exchange..by the way Hooch way to go with the two gifts to keep it afloat...

I am already getting sad at the thought of October being over! hah hah.

I agree that the TN weather has been awesome! But the next few days we are back in the 80s! Stinky!

Man, I wish it was in the 80's here in TX. We had a couple of mid 80's days last week, but now it's back into the mid nineties for the next several days.

We actually had a couple of nights in the 50's. That's the weather I like. Just opening all of the windows and letting everything air out makes me happy.

Anyway, you guys that have 80 degree weather need to appreciate. The TX heat sucks. though it should start cooling off for good in a couple weeks.

You lucky dogs being on vacation! Maybe next year I can take a couple of weeks off in October too. I keep wanting to travel in the fall to places like New England or a little closer to home the Great Smokey Mountains to see all the wonderful fall colors.

We go to the smokey moutains every fall. There is nothing more beautiful than the mountains in autumn. Since we are in N.Alabama it isn't too far to drive.
