do you go out for christmas dinner

i know some people that go out for xmas dinner to pubs and resterants but im the traditional type i love eatin with my family

oh good heavens no! We might have public Christmas dinners before the holiday but on Christmas itself no way. I feel badly for people that have no where to go and have to eat out. S'not right.

sadly, yes, but one year i did make cornish game hens. we go to a chinese restaraunt every year, but this year i want to cook because i love to cook and i have never cooked a turkey before. (i know most people make ham, but i don't like ham)

I am afraid to my family me, not cooking would be sacrilege especially on Christmas so no time off from the Kitchen!!! I will be preparing the Christmas Day dinner. I havent made up the menu yet though...

For me Christmas is always spent at my Aunt's. I've never gone out for Christmas dinner.

We don't go out either...I cook Christmas Eve dinner for the 4 of us here at the house, and we always go to my Mom's Christmas Day.

On Christmas day, it's at home with the extended family.



But on Christmas Eve, because of my love for the film A Christmas Story, I always go out to eat Chinese Food.

Because I am in health care, and have worked MANY Christmases (sp?) I NEVER go ANYWHERE that I would be a part of making someone else work on Christmas. I am of the opinion that EVERYTHING that is not related to life-or-death (like hospitals) should be CLOSED on Christmas!!! No 7/11's, no movie stores, no malls...jeeeezzzzz!!!!

yes, hooch, very true. i work every christmas (well, when i had a job) at a nursing home, but that's why i went out, because i had nowhere else to go and i didn't have time to prepare a meal, but this year, i will make my first turkey!
