Our big Christmas Present came early!

So far all is going quite smoothly. He's an absolute bundle of energy. We walk our other dog every day, every day, so for the past two days we've taken Rosco. The first day he could barely hang- he made it halfway through a short walk. Yesterday we took another short walk (maybe 1/3 mile) and he made it the whole way! We were so proud but I dunno...something happened and this kids momentum picked up from the moment we got home He just goes and goes and goes...



But look at that dollface!!!









Wolfie~ our other dog is just as you described- well maybe a bit more energetic and demanding (always, always wants to be entertained by either going with us, walking, playing etc) I think the new puppy has made her feel every day of her years. She gets a bit aggravated with him. I will admit that I'm pretty demanding as well. I expect a lot out of her, always. Her numero uno job is to watch my daughter, and she knows this and does it well and is justly rewarded for her contribution to the family. But now I've tacked the puppy onto her list of duties and when he slips up, not only does he get in trouble, but she does too.

Yesterday I came home and found a tinkle accident and what do I do- gripe at Harlie.

"Harlie, you let him piss on the floor?!"

"Rosco, no, no, no, you go outside"

"And Harlie *points*...you know better!"

She proceeded to hop down from the couch, tackle the puppy to the floor and snarl at him. A little late but she's catching on. He's everyones responsibility.

Thanks. Ms.Holly! I took that yesterday so my daughter could bring some pics to school today. We made that one our desktop background because it's just SO cute. My favorite thing about that photo is that you can see my reflection in his eyes. I dunno, it just seemed symbolic!

he is soooo cute. I want another puppy soo bad. except they tear up stuff. I have a lab and I miss him as a puppy. I am trying really hard to decide to adopt another soon.

Your Harlie looks like her has a 'tude! Both your doggies are cute but the 'lil puppy!!! oh jus' want to cuddle and cuddle!

he's VERY cuddly, so long as you have a toy shoved in his mouth because otherwise he tries to get rough. I don't think he knows his own strength yet.



Harlie does have attitude- but she's also a very good girl with a difficult history <3 I wouldn't trade her for the world.
