A cute Idea

[Santa Baby]

I wish I could take credit for this cute idea but it comes from a friend and ex-co-worker of mine. When they were children her father on Christmas eve right before bed take the kids outside and give them each a starlight mint. They each made a tiny little hole and planted their mint (seeds) in the ground. They then went to bed. Their father told them that when Santa came he had so much magic it would make the mints grow. After they were asleep he replaced the mints with Candy Canes. She told me it was the first thing they looked for

in the morning and that told them that Santa had come. I love that

That's a clever idea! My kids are teens now but when they were little I used to make reindeer food with oatmeal and glitter and let them sprinkle it outside. When they were in bed I'd make reindeer tracks in the snow all around the "food". The kids loved it! I miss that part of the holidays now that they're older.

Very cool idea. Add this to the Reindeer Food in the lawn and there should be lots of activity outside just before bed.
