Just thought I'd bump this thread from the last time I was on here 3 years ago. What's everyone's favorite Halloween specials. Mine haven't changed - Great Pumpkin and the old school Witch's Night Out that is STILL not available on DVD!

Hocus Pocus
the Halloween Town series :)
rugrats halloween specials :)

amongst others
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I can't think of too many Halloween specials, but I was/am a huge Frasier fan, and they used to do good holiday shows. They had a couple or three Halloween episodes. One was the big costume party at Niles's house, where everyone finds out Roz is pregnant. Another is the one, several years later, when the cast shows up at Frasier's house dressed as their heroes. Then I think there was one the last season, or maybe next-to-last, when they are playing spooky practical jokes on each other at work. I have the whole series on DVD, so I can watch any of these episodes any time I like.

Nowadays I mostly make my own Halloween specials. I watch favorite videos throughout the month of October. They may or may not be explicitly Halloween-themed. I was watching several this weekend--An American Werewolf in London, Truly Madly Deeply, Edward Scissorhands. I also recently purchased a boxed set of History Channel Haunted Histories. It's the one that contains Haunted History of Halloween, Salem Witch Trials, Vampires, Hauntings, and Poltergeists.

Garfield's Halloween is one of my favorites. Unlike many children's stuff, it's not afraid to get a little scary. And those ghosts are really well done.

Wonderful World of Disney use to put out a Halloween special each year with different hosts, although it mostly consisted of the same clips. The main one was Ichabod Craine. The Bugs Bunny one was much the same, using various Halloween related shorts.

There was also an Addams Family Halloween special with the original cast. As I recall it came across as parody of a Christmas special.

Most Halloween specials were just Halloween episodes of series. Then there's those series like Munsters and Ghostbusters that were practically all Halloween.

There's a lot of stuff on YouTube, although you really need to know the name of what you're looking for. Here's a few I ran across (just the first part listed):
