My Personal Yard Haunt
OK guys, now each year I create a large Yard Haunt, calling it Spooky Town. This will be the 2nd year i've done it, and would greatly appreciate everyones input from here. I will update with pictures daily. I will post pictures of the yard, so you all can get an idea of how much room i have to play with etc, hopefully turning this into the most successful yard haunt I've done.
Last Year Front yard, was reception, the first night, I had 20 neighborhood kids, there at OPENING (6:00). Groups were brought through 4 at a time, (having older teens on the street conduct the tours)(paid, even better). So they would proceed through the front yard, through the graveyard, then go along the East side of the house, which has lots of trees, so that was the Spooky Forest, then the tour went down the hill in the back into the real woods, (where they got a good scare), then went backup the hill, to under the deck which was the Haunted House(note this deck is quite large(and there is about 20Ft of standing room underneath the deck) then they proceed out to the driveway where the haunt ends, and they can choose to leave or go to the Food Court (where they can choose from assorted Free Drinks or 25 cent cupcakes.) Overall last year i had a total of 431 visitors
BTW. sorry if that was all over the place, i was picking up ideas out of my head randomly. I also think im having Webcams positioned all over, so you can view whats going on at Spooky Town.
So expect some pictures of the Yard shortly, where you can then fill this thread up with ideas

Sounds like a really frightful time!!! I love going to yard haunts and I would love having one myself. Sounds like you had a great turnout. As far as the webcams...make sure you dont run into any legal issues with them. Something makes me think there might be some law that would make your guest have to sign waivers or something of the sort.

Well i think since they are on MY property, i shouldn't have an issue. I know of a few other commercial Haunts that broadcast via Webcam, and dont have waivers.mandy0221 wrote:Sounds like a really frightful time!!!
