Making my excuses

Post by geekmidwinter » Wed Jun 06, 2007 9:00 am

I'm sorry I haven't been around as much lately, unfortunately my paternal grandma passed away Monday, and I've been out of town a bit, and working like crazy to make up for it the rest of the time.

We weren't super close, and she had a long, good life, and was very sick for three months leading up to it, so it was almost a relief. My dad and my aunt are pretty upset, though, so that's upsetting to me. So, I'll be out of commission tomorrow for the funeral, but hopefully back in the saddle after that. You guys rock my socks.

BATS!! ^V^ ^v^ ^V^ ^v^

My condolences. Take time to grieve. Don't hold it in. That is the worst thing you can do. Even if you weren't overly close, you still have a connection to her. Remember the good times with her. And again my condolences. Come back when you can.

I'm very sorry for your loss. In times like these, there's an old german saying that I try to remember... (I think this is right)...
Zeit des Gottes beträgt die rechte Zeit.

God's time is the right time.

GMW, God bless you and yours.

geekmidwinter, Give my condolences to everyone. I'm glad to hear that your grandma had had a good long happy life. Take however much time you need, and be there for your dad & aunt. BUt also remember to take time for yourself to grieve and be kind to yourself. And all those grieving, nomatter how they express it.

See you once you're back ~HUGS~ My Thoughts are with you.
