What should I wear for my work Christmas party?

I know it's a bit early, but I'd like to find some outfits on time. My family always has a big party on Christmas Eve and I really don't know what to wear. I am looking for the best combination of classy and modern style. I have limited budget so I don't want to spend all my savings on a dress. I would prefer something budget friendly. Can anyone suggest me some ideas and give direct links to buy the outfit?

I usually go to goodwill or other thrift stores because this time of year I can usually find someone else last year Christmas outfit they only wore a couple of times. I usually get it dry cleaned so it had the new store bought look.
