Well I've bought my pumpkins, the ingredients for the pies are ready (and we work colleagues waiting on a promise). I have my new Shadow maker and my bumper Halloween window cover. Everything is on standbye
But I'm now in a dilema. Do I carve and decorate now and risk diluting the Halloween event, or do I wait until Sunday and go for the short but potent 4 day event. I just don't know!
How about you crazy colonials, what are you up to. And of course my fellow Europeans

A Dilema
The steeples are white in the wild moonlight,
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see the vampires fly,
And the harpies of upper air,
That flutter and laugh and stare.
And the trees have a silver glare;
Past the chimneys high see the vampires fly,
And the harpies of upper air,
That flutter and laugh and stare.

NO do not carve now your pumpkins will go soggy and squishy and even if you do put on vaciline or somthing like that they will go squiggy on the monday and pushing it sunday but then put on vaciline on and put in cold place do you have a garage if YOU DO PUT it IN THERE! And I know that temptation might be so much but do not light a candal in there or it will scrival up

The Shadow Maker came from Woolworths in Kingston. It requires two batteries but was on sale at 3.50 and creates a very nice effect.

I'm just impresed that you actually know how to make a pie out of a real pumpkin! I've been decorating in fits and starts all week, haven't carved anything yet, and just got the majority of the cemetery up today. It still needs some final touches, but the new fence looks great. Tomorrow is the makeup trial run, looking through the makeup box to see if anything needs replacing. Supposed to be a sunny day, so even if it's cold, I'll bundle up and put the top down and take the Magic Pumpkin for a spin. Friday I'll carve JOL's and bake some things for the party Sat nite. Other than that I'm free as a bird!
