The Mod Topic
I figured this is a decent topic to bring up. As a member, what are your thoughts about moderators here. What do you want to see more of, less of, if anything.

WTH??? Half the time I can't understand what you're talking about HM. What I do understand is that if anyone disagrees with you their posts are immediately deleted. Why not allow this forum to continue as a family friendly, CLEAN, site to gather ideas and share what we all love about Halloween? This is getting ridiculous. Until the wolves are banned from guarding the hen house, nothing will change. I'm done here.

LawP - I understand that your feeling that your done here.
Nostalgiascape - I understand that you've not yet broken the rules, but HalloweenCom is going to create some new rules for the moderators only. Well, don't know how long it will take him to done the new rules. For instance, a new rule would be shown like this... //a moderator cannot delete or remove other mod's posts. As long as if it sounds like inapproirate post, just forward it to HalloweenCom and he will take care of it. OK?
So, you can always delete if you see any spammers and smutty posts like porn links, images, etc. The only problem is you can't delete another moderator's post, unless you feel it is not right thread, just contact HC. Do you understand? Well, I think Geek needs to understand too because he removed numerous of posts of mine a little longer ago!!!

Oh, BTW, y'all... the phpBB format has a feature that can be set up for topics just like this one, that can be accessed by the MODS only. Just sayin'.
Frankly, I think a good MOD should have a firm grasp of the rules and FAQ to that given forum and the moral resposibilites that go with upholding that commitment.
I think a good MOD should be, at all times, fully cognisant of the given forums purpose and 'mission statement', as it were, and constantly uphold the standards best suited for that forum.
After awhile, on a forum like this bandwidth becomes a precious commodity so a good MOD will always be on the lookout for off-topic threads. This is a HALLOWEEN forum and should be kept as such! Hyper-linking is also a HUGE consumer of bandwidth so, that should be discouraged as well.
I happen to think the MODS here do a wonderful job and 'most' know what this site is all about and do their best to uphold its standards.
For now, that's all I've got to say.
