Post by hauntmaster » Tue Aug 14, 2007 11:36 pm

I'm just starting this new thread "DARK POETRY", you know, submit your own halloween or horror story, maybe some nightmare or any other frightening stories here... If you wish to know more, feel free to ask me anytime and I will try to think more about posting a good poetry here.

Well, I guess I'll share a nightmare I had a few nights ago. It was a pretty big deal seeing as how I haven't really recalled a dream in a long while. Anyways, in the beginning of my dream I'm in a restaurant. Everything is normal from what I can tell--utensils are clanking, people are laughing, waiters are shuttling around with hot plates of food, etc. The place I was in was packed. I was eating with someone, but don't know who. Suddenly, I notice a thing across the room just standing there. I have no earthly idea what it was, but it was just there, fixated on ME. It was really malnourished looking, with small, sad eyes. It's posture was bent--it seemed to be in pain. No one else in the whole place seemed to notice it. It was just there, maybe 20 ft away, staring, glaring....then I woke up wondering what in God's name I ate the previous evening. The whole rest of the night just seemed strange. I couldn't seem to close my eyes without having to open them to make sure nothing was in the corner of my room staring at ME. It was one of those wierd experiences when the realm of dreams and consciousness blend. My gf thought I was crazy, for sure.

Trust me people, I'm not a dreamer, so this one was pretty disturbing. And no, I don't do drugs and don't drink. Must of been all that damned organic eating I'm doing. Sheesh.

Sounds like a good nightmare poetry to me, BG!

Anybody else here knows how to share the poetry? Well, I'm still kept thinking about it... I will post here later.

I love the idea of posting spooky poetry and stories ! I have a story of mine to post, but I'll make another thread to keep it separate, it is in sections and will be less confusing that way. Keep the great spookiness coming, folks!

EVIL DWELLING

EVIL DWELLING

Whenever I try to sleep I can hear a piercing scream inside my hear.
It is the scream of a young girl.
It sounds horrific and so frightening.
It started the moment we moved into this new house.
It looks so nice with white panelling and hanging baskets.
It looked as though a lot of love had gone into it.
We had conversations with the neighbors.
And they told what happened.
A lovely family had lived in our house.
The husband had an important job in the city.
His wife was a Marketing Executive.
And they had two children - a boy and a girl.
Apparently the husband was under a lot of stress at work.
One night he had been working late.
He was entertaining one of his clients.
And returned home after midnight.
Before going to bed he had a drink, then another and another.
For some reason he just snapped.
He grabbed a claw hammer from his toolbox and walked upstairs.
He entered his bedroom where his wife was sleeping.
For some reason snapped and struck his wife on the head with the hammer.
He hit her again and again.
Then he went into the children's room.
Both the children were asleep.
First of all, he attacked the young boy.
The hammer was covered in blood.
The young girl started to scream and scream.
Her father turned on her and struck her with the hammer.
He hit her again and again and again.
The police were called and the man was arrested.
He was declared insane and ended up in a mental asylum.
The doctors asked him why he did it, but he said he didn't know why.
He just said that he was stressed and everything was getting too much to deal with stuff.
He just exploded and the alcohol blocked out any sense of restraint.
Every time I go sleep I can hear the little girl screamiong.
It is a truly horrific experience.
Will there ever be peace in this house?
We don't know what to do.
Should we try to move or should we stay and bring up our family here?
Maybe the wound of happy voices can drown out the screams.
And we can all live happily ever after.
Will this house always be possessed by evil?
Or can the state be wiped clean?
We are a religious couple and we believe God!
I hope God will help us through this,
And bring happiness and joy to our home!
