recipe:1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box white cake mix
1 pkg. white sandwich cookies
1 large box vanilla instant pudding mix
10-12 small tootsie rolls
1 new litter box (or disposable aluminum pan)
1 plastic scoop
green food coloring

Instructions:
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans).
Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to use.
Put white sandwich cookies in a large Ziploc bag and crush in small batches using a rolling pin. Save crumbs until later.
Take about 1/3 cup of the crumbs and place in a small bowl. Add a few drops green food coloring, mix using a fork.
When cakes are cooled, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. Mix the pudding with the cake add pudding in small amounts you don't want it soggy, just moist. Put the mixture into the new litter box or aluminum pan.
Put a few unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft. Shape rolls as desired. Repeat with more Tootsie rolls and bury in mixture.
Sprinkle the other half of the crumbs over top.
Scatter the green crumbs lightly over the top, (this is the deodorizer in the kitty litter).
Soften the remaining Tootsie Rolls. Place them on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
Serve with a new scooper.

HQ, I love that idea! I wanted to make one last year but didn't since we have a REAL litter box at home and I doubt anyone would have eaten the cake! Party "poopers" :D

We have an on-going thing with our Wastewater department here... they're always sending out "Donuts in Wastewater" emails to announce that there are donuts in their department. The department manager, going with this theme, brought "Kitty Litter Surprise" to our company Thanksgiving pot-luck last November.

It was quite the novelty dish. Some people were grossed out. It was D-licious, actually... once you get past the presentation, of course.
