Gift Basket-photo

Post by Spooky » Fri Oct 13, 2006 11:22 pm

Here's the gift basket I made up for my Halloween party, I do a drawing to win it:

Then I have tons of other prizes for other games.

But, inside this bucket is:

A giant Caramel Corn Candle
A witches plastic cauldron with spooky looking eyeball marshmellows
Halloween cloth coasters
a really pretty spiderweb ornament with gold glitter on it
Lots of different Candy
A Container of sugar cookies, with a fall scene on the Tin
A Black Cat Pez dispenser

I love making gift baskets. I do a different one every year. I find different kinds of containers to fill up with stuff.

Do you think they'd miss me at my party if I drove up and came to yours?? That looks fabulous. I'm still trying to think what to get for prizes for best costume,1st,2nd,&3rd places. Any thoughts?

It depends on what you want to spend. For my pumpkin carving contest I give out gift cards to Wal-Mart.

1st-$25
2nd-$15
3rd-$10

You can even get Halloween prize ribbons in places like Party City.

I like to go to the Dollar Tree and buy the big boxes of movie theater size candy. I bought reeses pieces in the big boxes, cause the boxes were orange and black and yellow, and I thought they looked Halloweenish.

The Dollar Tree has lots of neat stuff, and cool containers, that you can make up a cool gift basket cheap- I bought a clear plastic gift bag, and silver and purple metallic paper there to do up my basket.

I saw Avon had a cute fiberoptic Halloween tree, it was only $19.99. I had thought about getting it as the door prize, but I didn't.

But, making a gift basket is fun, you can put in fall stuff....like you can add in dishtowels, and candles, and even apple scented air freshners and dipping mixes, a bag of caramels. The possibilities are endless.

Spooky I love that idea...I think I may have to do something along those lines. I bought a movie (beetle juice) and some candies and I think I may throw in a $10 gift card to target or something for my best costume!

Last year we gave away mums as prizes...but no one appreciates the fall stuff like I do!!!!! I tihnk most peoples mums died :(

Party City has trophies this year. They are pretty flimsy but they only cost $4.50, so not too bad. It's really neat!
